Cutting-edge technology and competence to excel research
The Genomics Core Facility, with a rich history spanning over 25 years, provides state-of-the-art laboratory technology and competence with genomic analysis. We specialise in delivering high-throughput genomic services to the Norwegian scientific community. Our extensive range of technologies enables us to study genome structure, dynamics, and function, from bulk sample analysis to single-cell at spatial multi-omics resolution. By utilising cutting-edge technologies from Element Biosciences, Illumina, 10x Genomics, and NanoString (Bruker), we enhance the scientific competitiveness of our users by offering easy access to advanced methods. We also provide basic primary and secondary bioinformatics analysis, delivering a comprehensive end-to-end solution for high-throughput genomic analysis. Our services are accessible to all users from our health region, following a first-come, first-served policy upon sample delivery.
The Genomics Core Facility is a member of the Norwegian Consortium for Sequencing and Personalized Medicine (NorSeq), which operates the National technology platform funded by the Research Council of Norway. Additionally, we manage the regional technology platforms for high-throughput sequencing in partnership with our sister core facility at Ullevål Hospital, and we are recognised as a core facility by the University of Oslo.
The Genomics Core Facility is a certified service provider for various technologies, including Illumina (CSPro), nanoString nCounter and GeoMx, 10xGenomics and TWIST NGS ProLab. We have performed the first Element Biosciences AVITI24 Teton CytoProfiling run in Europe.
Excited to get the first Element Biosciences AVITI24 instrument installed in Europe. This will strengthen the Genomics Core Facility portfolio of services to support cutting-edge research at OUS, UiO and Norway.
