Cutting-edge technology and competence to excel research

The Genomics Core Facility has for over 20 years provided state-of-the-art laboratory technology and high-throughput genomic services to the Norwegian scientific community. We offer an extensive repertoire of technologies and competence to study genome structure, dynamics, and function at bulk and single-cell resolution. Using cutting edge Illumina high-throughput sequencing, BeadArray and NanoString technologies we increase the scientific competitiveness of our users. In addition to laboratory services, we deliver basic primary and secondary bioinformatics analysis, providing a comprehensive solution for high-throughput genomic analysis. Our services are equally accessible to all users from our health region, following a first come first served policy.

The Genomics Core Facility is a member of the Norwegian Consortium for Sequencing and Personalized Medicine (NorSeq) which runs the National technology platform financed by the Research Council of Norway. In addition, we run the regional technology platforms for high-throughput sequencing in collaboration with the Sequencing Center at Ullevål Hospital.

The Genomics Core Facility is an Illumina Certified Service Provider (CSPro) for high-throughput sequencing and beadarray technology applications, which ensures industry-leading data quality and service standards for genetic analysis applications.
